ScreenWriting for DVD released films.
Screenplay is a reference to a script for full-length movie. In times past, full-length movies were always distributed to and shown in movie theaters. There's a new strategy, however, for any number of produced full-length movies, and that strategy is bypassing movie theaters completely, and instead being distributed as a home rental DVD.
One of the benefits of straight-to-DVD releases is a reduction in marketing costs. Marketing costs for a theater release film are not at all insignificant. It wouldn't take a great deal for a theater release movie to spend thirty million dollars in advertising.

The writer's strike emphasizes the importance of screenwriters.
The screenwriters' strike has received a good amount of media coverage, and this is rather unusual. The fact of the matter is the media typically has very little interest in screenwriters or what they do. So what explains media interest in the screenwriters' strike? The interest is actually easily explained: the screenwriters' strike has put a halt to much of the television and movie output in the American entertainment industry, and this void is where the really story lies. The point lost however may be that the strike indicates the importance of screenwriters to the entertainment business.
I would look at the magazines my teenage neighbor and her friends stashed away in their cupboards and think, "Heck, I could do that!" So one day, while she was away at school, I broke into her room and "borrowed" the magazines.
Teenage magazines have changed since we were teens, I can tell you that. No longer do they advocate sex after marriage and accepting everything for what it is. Teenage magazines today are a whole different gamut. So, if you go into shock mode quickly, this market may not be your cup of tea.
As you might have heard, the Internet is all about information. Millions of people logon to the Internet each day searching for information. They're searching for everything from health and wellness to love and relationships. People crave information and will pay to get the info they want.
That's why ebooks are the hottest products on the Internet. It's digital information that's downloadable and therefore brings instant gratification to the user. In just a matter of minutes, you can have expert knowledge saved on your hard drive that you can read at your leisure. It can be printed out and made into a regular book. It's an incredible medium for writers and experts who would have before the Internet needed a publisher or magazine to print and sell their knowledge in book form.

Let's go through them in order:
Technical ability
This doesn't mean you have to be Saul Bellow or Toni Morrison before you start but it does mean that there is a certain level of competence expected of you before you begin showing your work to the outside world.

Fiction, Mystery, science fiction, how to books? How about articles, reports, maybe you're interested in journalism. Whatever the case may be, to get your creative juices flowing, start Writing! Did you know that good songWriting is often the key to establishing a successful music career? But more than that, it can be fun! When you write a song you are able to express yourself in new and creative ways. Whether you're sad, happy, angry, or in love… with words, you can fly!
Mine was Mrs. Martha Harrison, my eighth grade English teacher. She made us write, and write, and write. She would put a sentence on the blackboard (I used to be the one to clean it..remember that), like "If A Pencil Sharpener Could Talk" and make us write a 200 word story about the subject.
Everyday we experience many different events. Some good, some bad, some memorable and some that can be forgotten the next day. For writers, these events of our lives are a treasure trove of material that could be very valuable to us.
You just had a fight with your mother? Why not write it down?
You just broke your leg? Why not sit down and scribble a few lines describing how it feels?
Through journal Writing, we can not only understand the events that occur in our lives better, we can improve our Writing ability and create an immense archive of events we could use in our Writings.

So just how do you get started? The first step, of course is to write the article. The second step is to find the right medium. I have a small business in the floral industry. So the floral community would be my first likely target. Industry experts are generally the most sought after writers for targeted publications. Since I write mostly about sales and marketing for small business, my second likely medium would be business-related publications, such as those published by Chambers of Commerce, small business journals and other retail industry publications.
